ElectroTechCP™ EZ Anode Systems
STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES’ ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Anode Systems are a galvanic cathodic protection solutions for the long-term protection of reinforced concrete corrosion. These systems have been developed as a means of providing corrosion control as well as serving as a barrier against future contamination.
Delivers Optimal Protection
ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Anode Systems are maintenance-free — its protective current output self-adjusts to meet changes in temperature, humidity, concrete resistivity and a number of other factors, delivering optimum corrosion protection to the joint at all times.
Protects and Shields
In addition to providing corrosion protection, ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Anode Systems serve as a barrier against future environmental contamination, shielding the concrete from future corrosion damage.
Easy to Install
The installation of ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Anode Systems are simple, as it is easily installed on site. The embedding mortar is placed on the surface of the concrete, followed by the zinc mesh of various grades that is connected to the steel reinforcement, and, finally, a second layer of the embedding mortar is applied over the zinc mesh. A top coat or alternative finish system is then applied as desired.
System Advantages
- Ease and speed of installation cuts installation time and cost
- Fits any shape or dimension
- Protection self-adjusts to temperature, humidity, and concrete resistivity
- Corrosion protection of steel in concrete for up to 20 years*
- Compatible with any type of concrete repair material
- Does not require an external power supply — maintenance free
- Commercially available with minimal lead time
- Compatible with various top coats, paints or tiling systems
ElectroTechCP™ EZ Anode Applications
ElectroTechCP™ EZ Anode Systems can be installed on almost any concrete member to provide corrosion protection for parking decks, bridges, tunnels, marine port structures, decks, columns, soffits, beams, abutment walls, etc.
STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES has developed EZ Anode Systems that solve corrosion in specific structural elements, including:
ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Joint System
ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Joint System is maintenance free — its protective current output self-adjusts to meet changes in temperature, humidity, concrete resistivity and a number of other factors, delivering optimum corrosion protection to the joint at all times.
ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Balcony System
The ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Balcony System is a unique solution for the long-term protection of balconies suffering from corrosion-induced damage in atmospheric conditions. This galvanic corrosion control system stops the electrochemical corrosion process of the steel within the concrete, as well as serving as a barrier against future contamination of the slab.
ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Column System
The installation of the ElectroTechCP™ EZ-Column System is simple as it is easily installed on site. The embedding mortar is placed on the surface of the concrete, followed by the zinc mesh of various grades that is connected to the steel reinforcement, and, finally, a second layer of the embedding mortar is applied over the zinc mesh. A top coat or alternative finish system is then applied as desired. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES provides turnkey installation through our contracting licensees.

Material Specification of Solidified EZ Anode System Binder
The TASC binder is a 3-component, non-cementitious, glass fiber reinforced binder in compliance with ASTM C1666 and EN 15455 for use as an embedding and activating matrix for zinc anodes. The binder is applied like a fine putty to uncoated concrete surfaces. The zinc mesh is then imbedded, and, finally, a finishing layer of the binder is applied to encompass the zinc mesh. The binder forms a matrix with excellent adhesion to concrete surfaces, with a volumetric porosity of >35%, high ionic conductivity, and high durability.
